LOAD YOUR DATA AT THE SOURCE! — Getting the data right has been an obsession at Silvacom for over twenty years. The best and cheapest way is to enter it at the point of measurement. And we’ve developed the solution using industry standard field data collectors and Windows® CE PDAs.

DATA IS OUR CORE BUSINESS™. Our handheld applications provide spreadsheet style or form-based tools for quick and easy data entry. Pick lists and automatic error checking are incorporated in all of our systems. Data is stored in industry-standard database format for uploading to your desktop PC or transfer, via the web, into Silvacom’s secure Online Oracle® data warehouse.

OFF THE SHELF AND READY TO GO!

Our handheld applications were developed in response to industry demands. We’ve built systems for many field data collection activities including timber cruising, permanent plot measurements, timber auctions and bush scaling. HScale is one of our most popular products. It’s the industry standard for complete stick scale data entry and compilation – an essential component in calculating weight to volume ratios. It’s easy to use and is optimized for ultra-fast keyboard entry. Silvacom’s Regen Surveyor, our latest product, is a full-featured package for entering establishment and performance regen plot data. It continuously calculates plot status, conifer vs. deciduous content, average heights etc. It will even tell you which survey standard the cut block will pass! Regen Surveyor also produces a real-time map with standard symbology representing plot status. And of course, all information is stored in secure databases for safe transfer, archiving and follow-up analysis.
