fOREST MANAGEMENT PLAN SERVICES

Developing Forest Management Plans is part of Silvacom’s core business. We have the best FMP team in the industry – a team with the right experience to get the analysis done properly and the Plan submitted on time. We know how it’s done - we know the people in government and the regulatory process. And we know how to put both sides together to facilitate communication and resolve issues.
Our FMP system is driven by excellent information and by professional foresters with an in-depth understanding of best forest management practices. Components include:

  • Timber Supply Analysis – technical and quantitative components including:

    • AAC analysis using SILVASYM simulation and Woodstock/Stanley optimization models
    • Assessment of operational and economic opportunities/constraints
    • Incorporation of non-timber values in the analysis (e.g. watershed, wildlife habitat, integrated resource management plans)
